An exhibition of artwork by Nancy Farmer with guests, Sheena Spacey and Jo Luckstead
At Ilminster Meeting house and Arts Centre, 1st - 27th August 2011.

Nancy Farmer's art is a confection of fantasy and reality, her compositions peopled with characters drawn from her observation of the everyday and the mundane, but coloured by a love of stories and fairytales. On display, as if to underline this duality, will be her 'true' life drawings, simply sketched from the human figure, alongside the 'lies' of made-up scenes depicted in paint, pencil, etching work and embellished with a little gold leaf.

Sheena Spacey’s ‘Figures, Fashion and Footwear’ are ceramic and mixed media interpretations that portray her interest in the macabre and wondrous worlds of Faeries, Fables and Folklore.

Jo Lucksted's stoneware ceramic pieces feature narrative tableaus and free standing sculptures, inspired by the classical Greek myths, depicting villainous gods, virtuous heroes and a few fantastical beasts.
